nfxB transcription start site was determined by primer extension. EMSA confirmed that NfxB specifically binds to its own promoter region. DNase I footprinting assay identified that the region from -20 to +83 of nfxB was protected from DNase I digestion by NfxB. Negative autoregulation of nfxB was shown by performing nfxB-lacZ fusion assays.
Regulated genes for each binding site are displayed below. Gene regulation diagrams show binding sites, positively-regulated genes, negatively-regulated genes, both positively and negatively regulated genes, genes with unspecified type of regulation. For each indvidual site, experimental techniques used to determine the site are also given.
