Curation notes
Staphylococcus aureus strain RN3984 mobile pathogenicity island SaPI2 (GenBank: EF010993.1) is not yet in RefSeq. Record needs to be updated and submitted when RefSeq record is introduced.

Experimental Process

Effect of LexA evidenced with LexA-ind mutant and rate of transduction of PAI. Sites identified through PSSM search with B. subtilis profile and MSA with other SaPIbov sequences. Binding of LexA verified by EMSA with multiple fragments and functionality of sites assessed by RT-PCR with mit-C induction on w-t and LexA-ind.

Gene Regulation

Regulated genes for each binding site are displayed below. Gene regulation diagrams show binding sites, positively-regulated genes, negatively-regulated genes, both positively and negatively regulated genes, genes with unspecified type of regulation. For each indvidual site, experimental techniques used to determine the site are also given.
