Experimental Process

EMSA and site directed mutagenesis confirmed the sole binding site of GlxR in the ramA promoter that was identified previously by chromatin immunoprecipitation analysis. Site directed mutagenesis and lacZ analysis showed that GlxR activates ramA expression.
