Experimental Process

Northern blot results showed that PqrR regulates the expression of the pqrA and pqrC genes. EMSA showed that purified His6-PqrR retarded the mobility of the pqrA-pqrR intergenic region. DNAse I footprinting was used to map the binding sites of PqrR at the pqrA-pqrR intergenic region.

Gene Regulation

Regulated genes for each binding site are displayed below. Gene regulation diagrams show binding sites, positively-regulated genes, negatively-regulated genes, both positively and negatively regulated genes, genes with unspecified type of regulation. For each indvidual site, experimental techniques used to determine the site are also given.
