Experimental Process

Comparative genomics with motif discovery (SignalX) and PSSM search to predict sites. Genome-wide expression profiling on a Zur mutant to identify candidate regulated sites. Expression also verified by RT-PCR and promoters mapped by RACE-PCR. EMSA and site-directed mutagenesis were performed to verify direct interaction of Zur with the putative Zur-binding sites .
