Experimental Process

Fur binding-sites were identified and verified by employing the following techniques: 1.weight matrix (derived from known Fur binding sites in other bacteria) was used to carry out a genome-wide search of Fur binding sites. 2. FURTA was used to locate and isolate Fur sites 3. computationally predicted and FURTA isolated binding sites were evaluated for in vitro Fur binding using EMSA. 4. the effect of Fur binding on transcription expression was evaluated by in vitro transcription
